Beth

I love spoilers. I ALWAYS flip to the end of the book first to find out what happened. Then I take the journey to get there. This is why I don't like reading e-books because you can't flip (scrolling is NOT the same). I keep a stack of books on the back of the toilet, because, let's face it, that's the only time I have to read. When I finish a book I play out scenes in my head of what happened after, usually inserting myself as a new character. This can last for weeks if the book was really good.

Welcome!

We are a group of 11 people who love all different types of literature. Some of us read a lot and some of us read a little but no matter what we’re reading we love to discuss it. We thought this would be a good way to share all of our bookish thoughts. Feel free to leave yours as well! I Opened a Book By Julia Donaldson I opened a book and in I strode. Now nobody can find me. I’ve left my chair, my house, my road, My town and my world behind me. I’m wearing the cloak, I’ve slipped on the ring, I’ve swallowed the magic potion. I’ve fought with a dragon, dined with a king And dived in a bottomless ocean. I opened a book and made some friends. I shared their tears and laughter And followed their road with its bumps and bends To the happily ever after. I finished my book and out I came. The cloak can no longer hide me. My chair and my house are just the same, But I have a book inside me.

Unicorn Crossing

Unicorn Crossing Another Phoebe and her unicorn adventure by Dana Simpson Characters: Phoebe is the main girl in the book The Unicorn’s name is Marigold Max is the boy she likes but she hasn’t said that yet. I can just tell. Dakota is the girl who picks on Phoebe in this book. Plot: Part of the plot is that they go camping, Marigold didn’t like camping and Phoebe was annoyed how Marigold was always humming. This part of the book is where they both have to figure out how to deal with each other’s problems and learn to compromise. Another part of the book is where Marigold has to leave for a few days and Phoebe has unicorn withdrawal. “I hope you will be alright without me for a few days” “ I survived for 9 whole years before I knew you, I could make it a few more days” “Until I return, farewell” Then I really like when Phoebe goes through the different stages of Unicorn withdrawal. Stage 1: Denial Stage 2: Anger Stage 3: Bargaining Stage 4: Depression & Stag...
