I have loved to read since I was a little girl. I go almost nowhere without a book or a kindle.
I love historical novels. They can be fiction or based on real history.  Romances are my favorite but I also really like American history especially Revolutionary and Civil War era. I also enjoy some fantasy fiction but I am very selective.

Buzz words: western, Civil War, Revolutionary war, Scotland, Indianapolis, dragons, witch, rescued trafficking, artist, gothic and Russia.

2018 End of Year Wrap Up

     So November and December were a bust for Book club. This tends to happen around holiday time because it is hard to gather such a large group when everyone is also dealing with extra family, cooking, cleaning, and all things dealing with presents. January will also be a no book club month because for some reason this year we all seem to need some down time after Christmas. We will resume book club meetings in February when we come together after reading Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty.     I thought we could start off the new year by talking about how last years reading goals went for us and what our reading goals look like this year. I didn't meet all my goals though because I didn't finish the read harder challenge and I also stopped keeping track of what I had read which is really disappointing. April Meeting

For our April meeting, we met at a local sushi/hibachi restaurant and our book of the month was: Becoming by Michelle Obama “For every door that’s been opened to me, I’ve tried to open my door to others. February Meeting

After taking January off and agreeing on a book, Truly Madly, Guilty , we met in February. Instead of going into detail about how this went over I am going to link one of our members Heather 's blog. She posted a book review on the book. I will say this we were all really excited to read it and then... Truly Madly Guilty Book Review      For March we decided to read Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. A lot of us are excited about this book so hopefully, it will go over better than the last.
